Accounting Specialist Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 Location: Vancouver, WA Why This Opportunity Stands Out: Serve the public through meaningful work that benefits the local community Stable government entity offering long-term career stability Eligible for a state pension and robust retirement benefits Generous time off: accrue 3.5 weeks of vacation and 2.5 weeks of sick time Key Responsibilities for the Accounting Specialist: Process biweekly payroll and prepare related journal entries Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable Perform general accounting duties and assist with reconciliations Maintain accuracy and compliance with all financial transactions Collaborate with internal departments and support audit preparation as needed Qualifications for the Accounting Specialist: Associate's degree or 3 years of experience in payroll, AP, and AR Candidates without a degree should have 5 years of relevant accounting experience Strong attention to detail and comfort working with accounting software and spreadsheets Timing is everything.
