Responsible inspecting vehicles and equipment for safe and
dependable operation. Works on intermediate/advanced level aspects
of the maintenance and repairs of company vehicles with little
supervision.=====================================================================To

age.Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the
following; other duties may be assigned:1. - - - -Diagnoses and
repairs mechanical, electrical and engine defects in buses and
other automotive equipment. Diagnose and repair of diesel engines2.
- - - -Diagnostic troubleshooting and repair of engine codes under
OBD-II system3. - - - -Prep vehicles for service to include
cleaning and washing off vehicles/ equipment.4. - - - -Ensure
proper operation of engines, tools and equipment by checking for
worn parts and completing preventive maintenance according to
manufacturers' maintenance manuals.5. - - - -Changes oil filters,
installs anti-freeze and snow chains, repairs tires, adjusts
brakes, lubricate chassis, wheel bearings and other assemblies as
required. Performs all required preventive maintenance and regular
bus safety inspections.6. - - - -Perform routine maintenance checks
on all vehicles and equipment including snow removal machines,
heavy equipment, buses, trucks, vans, snowmobiles, and other
company vehicles.7. - - - -Completes work orders on all vehicles.8.
- - - -Maintain equipment, parts and supplies inventory and
conserves resources by checking stock to determine inventory level;
anticipate equipment, parts and supplies as needed to accomplish
job results.9. - - - -Mends damaged body parts.10. - - - -Maintain
logs and work sheets of inspections and maintenance performed on
all equipment.11. - - - -Minor snow removal around shop and off
equipment12. - - - -Assist in the training and guidance of vehicle
mechanic I13. - - - -Overhauls and rebuilds engines, transmissions,
differentials and all other electrical components utilizing testing
devices and machine equipment as required.14. - - - -Performs metal
fabrication by using both arc and oxyacetylene welding
equipment.15. - - - -Basic knowledge of Mig and Stick Welding16. -
- - -Locate sources of problems by observing, listening to and
checking mechanical devices in operation.17. - - - -Remove
defective parts by dismantling devices, examining and diagnosing
cause of failure and correcting the condition.18. - - - -May
operate a variety of light equipment and power tools while adhering
to all safety regulations and company policies with this
equipment.19. - - - -Repairs and replaces seats, glass, sheet
metal, latches, and other body components and

-Minimum 3 years automobile or equipment maintenance experience
desired.3. - - - -Knowledge of automotive and mechanic problem
solving, basic math, ensure state and federal requirements are
met4. - - - -Valid Driver's License5. - - - -Knowledge of State and
Federal DOT regulations.6. - - - -Ability to use hand tools and
power tools safely.7. - - - -Possess a set of basic automotive
mechanic hand tools and storage cabinet.8. - - - -Experience in
repair of all vehicular equipment.9. - - - -Experience in all areas
of preventive maintenance.10. - - - -Experience in troubleshooting
equipment problems.11. - - - -Experience in operation of various
tools and equipment as required.12. - - - -Experience in
maintenance and repair procedures13. - - - -Knowledge of OBD-II
system14. - - - -General knowledge of diagnostic and repair of
hydraulic systems15. - - - -Diesel experience required16. - - -
-Ability to make major repairs as required.Physical

movements, walking on uneven terrain, and walking on snow and ice,
and operating snow vehicles. Must be able to bend, kneel, reach,
and crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include
close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions
and the ability to adjust focus.Working Conditions:Indoor/Outdoor:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will
occasionally be exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee
frequently works near moving mechanical parts and in precarious
places.Hazardous Materials/Noise: Employee will often be in contact
with hazardous substances. They will be occasionally exposed to
extreme hot/cold and wet conditions, noise, fumes or airborne
particles, and risk of electric shock. The noise level in the work
