with all categories of Interiors materials and processes used in
aerospace, with an emphasis on finishes and corrosion principles.
These technologies include but are not limited to composites,
thermoplastics, thermosets, metals, fasteners, adhesives, sealants,
organic finishes, inorganic finishes, and corrosion principles.
This role requires an engineer who is thorough, detail oriented,
and has a passion for continuous learning due to the generalist
nature of Payloads/Interiors. This requisition is intended to grow
the talent pipeline and expertise of Interiors Finishes and support
our internal / external customer’s statement of work demands.
Within this role, the engineer will be responsible for the
following activities: - Support design engineers in material and
process definition and selection of our Interiors components. -
Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with
material and process requirements and objectives. - Understand
engineering requirements and specifications to support material and
process design consultation, production support, and fleet support.
- Communicate with technical and non-technical personnel from
multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical
information and issues impacting design, production, and support of
products, services, or other deliverables. - Continued on-the-job
training to develop knowledge of Boeing systems, requirements, and
material and process technology. - Develop tests to qualify new
tools, equipment, materials, parts and processes to meet
requirements. - Perform activities to qualify suppliers to
applicable requirements. Integrate new materials and processes as
appropriate. - Conduct analysis to determine performance or reasons
for failures of tools, materials, parts or processes. - Implement
corrective and preventive actions. - Use project management tools
to meet cost, technical, and schedule requirements. - Incorporate
environmental health and safety, LEAN and Quality principles into
materials and processes, research, design and qualification, and
work procedures Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in
engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry -
5 years of experience in engineering - 2 years of experience in
Materials and Process Engineering Preferred Qualifications (Desired
Skills/Experience): - Bachelor, Master, or Doctorate of Science
degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Materials
Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline

Summary pay range for Associate (level 2): $98,600 - $133,400 -
Summary pay range for Mid-Level (level 3): $119,850 - $162,150
