About the team

Working in close partnership with partners from across the company, this role will be responsible for supporting and continuously improving vendor management program activities in our regulated lines of business. This position operates with a high degree of initiative and requires significant engagement with suppliers and with internal partners to help drive time-sensitive requirements. The ideal person effectively carries out supplier management and contract & procurement strategies while building extraordinary relationships.

* Execute Procurement strategies and tactics to ensure suppliers remain focused on mutual goals, plan, and invest to meet our unique needs. You will encourage our supplier base to support our emerging requirements and consider scalability as our business grows
* Use business intelligence and analytics to identify and implement supplier cost savings opportunities, process improvements, and supplier innovations
* Demonstrate strong contract negotiation and communication skills to support sophisticated spend initiatives for suppliers. You will lead strategic efforts for new finance, mortgage, or mortgage technology services. You will use your deep understanding of contract terms and conditions to improve supplier performance while mitigating risks to Zillow
* Meet regularly with business partners to understand their requirements, ensure alignment, and provide valuable insights on Procurement standard methodologies
* Facilitate interactions among Finance, Procurement, Legal, Information Security and Privacy Team owners to ensure engagement objectives align with Zillow policy
* Research and validate vendor and Zillow compliance with vendor management policy and standard industry regulations
* Engage Procurement team members and business partners in the efficient execution of procure-to-pay process activities, including purchase orders, invoicing and payment resolution
* You will coordinate vendor management activities, including but not limited to supplier categorization, SLAs, metrics and/or scorecards. Other activities will include coaching and mentoring team members

This role has been categorized as a Remote position. "Remote" employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice which must be identified to the Company. Employees may live in any of the 50 US States, with limited exceptions. In certain cases, an employee in a remote-designated job may need to live in a specific region or time zone to support customers or clients as part of their role.

In Colorado, the standard pay range for this role is $75,500.00 - $120,500.00 Annually. This range is specific to Colorado and may not be applicable to other locations.

Who you are

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent, with degree or graduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Legal Studies, Business Administration, or similar preferred.
* 5+ years of hands-on experience in a mortgage or regulated vendor management role for medium to large enterprises; deep understanding of supplier relationship management tools and standard methodologies. Specific sourcing or vendor management category experience in the mortgage business, banking, or compliance industry
* High level of proficiency with contract terms and conditions and an ability to navigate compliance requirements
* Strong negotiation and strategic sourcing skills and a passion for supplier innovation and assessment
* Willingness to focus and contribute, with the ability to optimally balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines. You will enjoy a hands-on role working through supplier relationship management and Sourcing challenges and opportunities
* Strong organizational, customer service and interaction skills, along with excellent verbal and written communications; possesses the ability to communicate sophisticated concepts clearly and persuasively
* Ability to quickly adjust to changing priorities; comfortable navigating ambiguity
* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel, or Tableau. Proficiency with Workday Procurement desirable, but not required
* Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency, attention to detail

In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location.
