This is a great opportunity to work with leadership, staff and stakeholders to develop standardized best work practices. You will coordinate agency wide projects to ensure quality, safe, and efficient outcomes through implementing Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives. You will help staff feel empowered to improve their work for our staff and customers, and inspire staff to be problem solvers. Join a small and mighty group of very skilled staff who are excellent communicators, problem solvers, facilitators and teachers, and who strive to produce the best quality products for DSHS. Job success will be measured by your ability to complete the Lean Reboot project. Facilitate and teach classes on Lean, Quality Management Culture, Organizational Change Management, and potentially Fundamentals Mapping and Project Management, and building relationships with Continuous Improvement staff throughout the agency. Some of what you will do * Implement, train and deploy Lean and Continuous Improvement initiatives * Provide Continuous Improvement training programs and classes * Lead and facilitate training agency wide * Maintain, update and implement Continuous Improvement curriculum * Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities throughout the agency, present ideas, make recommendations, and lead performance improvement initiatives * Support statewide leadership development training by helping to modify Continuous Improvement curriculum that integrates lean principles and support facilitation of classes * Lead cross functional teams to deploy standard operating procedures and process improvements * Establish and maintain effective working relationships with leaders and staff at all levels of the organization * Consult with organizational leaders to identify potential projects including cross departmental processes * Develop project proposals, timelines, scope of work, charters, and project plans to ensure key metrics are defined, developed, tracked, analyzed, and re-evaluated What we're looking for * A Bachelor's Degree in business administration, public administration, social work, communications, health sciences or related field * 5 years experience in or a combination of facilitation and training, strategic planning, process improvement, change management, quality management, performance measurement, project management, portfolio management, preparing effective and accurate narrative, statistical, and graphical reports and correspondence to communicate performance, or convening multi-disciplinary teams and facilitating discussions on complex and challenging multi-system issues. * Comparable combination of education and experience may be acceptable * Demonstrated ability to develop highly effective methods and practices in the field of continuous improvement leading to Agency success in transforming the lives of those we serve * Strong facilitation skills and experience with planning and executing results-oriented group discussion and training * Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to explain complex and technical information using plain talk principles.
