The program provides services to individuals experiencing severe psychiatric symptoms who may benefit from more structured services, supports, and secure setting. The program provides recovery-focused services. Telecare programs transform lives, generate measurable outcomes, and reduce financial costs. Services are designed to respond to local needs function as a strategic, accountable, and experienced partner within systems of care. The E&T is designated as a facility providing both voluntary and involuntary psychiatric care. E&T residents are ages 18+ and stay on average 14 days.Sign-on Bonus: $1,750Employment Status: Full-Time .8Shift: NOC 11:00 pm - 7:30 amDays: Friday - MondayLearn more about the role: SUMMARYThe Recovery Specialist II provides care that responds to the physical and psychological needs of members served. The Recovery Specialist II provides direct and indirect services according to individual service plans and Medicaid standards.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDemonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with the internal and external stakeholdersProvides safe, effective, and efficient implementation of direct care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards of careEstablishes, maintains, and co-facilitates a therapeutic relationship with members served; acts as a role model by maintaining a hopeful and positive attitude and problem solving and coping with mental illnessAttends and participates in community meetings and groupsCharts and observes client behaviorDocuments client activities of daily living, response to interventions, and significant behavior changes as appropriateAdmits and discharges members served as assigned; including completing associated documentationCollects stool, urine and other specimens, as requested, on assigned clientsObtains client vital signs and weights, as assignedAssists members served with hygienic careAssists at mealtime by distributing meal trays, pouring beverages, and/or feeding members served in need of assistanceProvides client monitoring including, but not limited to, rounds, seclusion and restraint supervision and smoke breaks.Assists in client outings, which may include driving.Practices body substance precautions at all timesMust assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention trainingDuties and responsibilities may be added, deleted and/or changed at the discretion of management.QUALIFICATIONSRequired:High school diploma or G.E.D and two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric mental health setting or BA/BS with one (1) year experience in mental health settingKnowledge of basic nursing skills and interventions, as well as mental and physical health conditions and terminologiesCertification as a CNA or its equivalent is acceptable documentation of nursing skills knowledgeMust have a current Washington Agency Affiliated Counselor certification. This position requires a current Washington State credential appropriate to this position and issued through the Washington Department of Health (WADOH). Minimum Credential Requirement - Agency Affiliated Counselor (AAC) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). First time AAC applicants may have a 30-90-day processing period before approval and active credentials are issued. Other WADOH Licenses/Certifications may be consideredMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employmentAll opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. If the position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment.
