Description Providence is calling a Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN) (0.5 FTE, Day Shift) to work at Long Term Care in Providence
Mother Joseph Care Center in Olympia, WA. $6,000 Sign-on Bonus for
eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment -
this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation
package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of
employment. The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for
providing assistance and support to the medical staff and
interdisciplinary team. They will plan, coordinate, and provide
nursing care to participants/residents/patients/clients in
accordance to individual service contracts, and as directed by
supervisor and/or Registered Nurse. Required qualifications for
this position include:
- Education sufficient to qualify as an LPN
- LPN License
- Current CPR certification or must obtain within thirty (30)
days of hire
- Ability to communicate in English effectively both verbally and
in writing Preferred qualifications for this position include:
- One (1) year of LTC geriatric experience
- One (1) year of experience as a staff nurse with LTC
experience
- Supervisory experience with nursing assistants
- Experience with an interdisciplinary team
- (MDS) Minimum Data Set/ (RAI) Resident Assessment Instrument
