Facility (SNF)/nJob Summary:/n A Director of Nursing (DON) in a
Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) oversees the delivery of
high-quality nursing care, ensuring compliance with regulations,
staffing, and operational standards. The DON is responsible for
leading the nursing team, ensuring optimal patient outcomes, and
maintaining a safe and efficient environment for residents with
varying levels of care needs. /n/nKey Responsibilities:/n /n -
Manage and lead the nursing staff, including recruitment, training,
scheduling, and performance evaluations. /n - Develop, implement,
and monitor policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
federal, state, and local regulations governing skilled nursing
care. /n - Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams,
and other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain
individualized care plans for residents. /n - Ensure the delivery
of high-quality, patient-centered care in accordance with
regulatory standards and best practices. /n - Monitor clinical
outcomes, quality of care, and ensure continuous improvement
initiatives to enhance resident health and satisfaction. /n -
Oversee medication management, treatment planning, and ensure
adherence to infection control protocols. /n - Ensure appropriate
care levels are provided to meet the physical, emotional, and
social needs of residents. /n - Manage and maintain accurate
clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with federal and state
guidelines. /n - Ensure compliance with state and federal
regulations regarding patient safety, reporting of incidents, and
adherence to healthcare standards. /n - Foster a culture of
teamwork, accountability, and collaboration among staff to ensure
high standards of care are met. /n - Serve as a liaison between the
nursing team, administration, and external regulatory bodies. /n -
Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement
programs to enhance clinical outcomes. /n - Assist with budgeting
and financial management related to nursing operations. /n
/n/nQualifications:/n /n - Education: Bachelor of Science in
Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred.
/n - Licensure:/n /n - Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the
state of practice. /n /n /n - Certification:/n /n - Certified
Director of Nursing (CDON) or Certified in Gerontology preferred.
/n /n /n - Experience: Previous leadership experience in a Skilled
