Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CT Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 14 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a CT Technologist with at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience and strong interventional radiology skills preferred. Responsibilities - Work in a Cath Lab/IR department with 1 dedicated cath lab, 1 IR room, and 1 hybrid room - Patient population includes a variety of cardiac and vascular patients undergoing diagnostic, interventional, and device procedures - Procedures in the Cath Lab include LHC/RHC, STEMI/MI treatment, pacemaker and MICRA placement, IABPs, Rotablator; Impella experience is preferred - IR cases include chemo/coil embolizations, nephrostomy tubes, central lines, G/GJ tubes, IVC filters, dialysis catheter placement, and assistance with CT/MRI biopsies - Hybrid room procedures include AAA grafts, peripheral/AO runoffs, and fistulograms - Average daily caseload is 7–14 cases - All rooms operate with three-person teams - Staff work 10-hour day shifts (0630-1600) with rotating days off - Call required: 1–2 shifts per week (end of shift to morning), 1 weekend per month (Friday evening to Monday morning), 30-minute response time - Holiday call coverage required every other holiday - Techs may occasionally float to the OR for vascular cases as needed - EMR used is Epic; hemodynamic monitoring via Maclab (transitioning to Merge late 2024) - Equipment includes GE C-arms, Alaris pumps, Pyxis medication dispensing, and MedRad/Assist injectors - Duties include scrubbing and assisting a variety of cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures and supporting CT/MRI biopsy cases - No CVOR backup on site; staged/protected PCIs and CTOs are not performed - Three-person teams in procedure rooms and strong interdisciplinary support from IR and Cardiology during the day - Call teams consist of 2 technologists and 1 RN; response time of 30 minutes is mandatory - Initial facility orientation provided, with additional orientation for those new to IR - All scrubs and lead are provided, including extended sizing if needed - Free parking available on site - Up to 7 days of requested time off allowed without special approval; holidays and longer requests require approval Requirements - Minimum 2 years of Cath Lab experience required; IR and hybrid room experience preferred but not mandatory - BLS and ACLS certification required - Current ARRT or RCIS certification required; license required if applicable - Proficiency in scrubbing and panning simultaneously, room turnover, and patient transport - Preferred experience with the Assist and Manifold injector systems - Must be comfortable with complex cardiac and vascular procedures - Epic EMR experience is preferred - First-time travelers will be considered Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628181.
