Description All Sites: Reception and Telephone duties & proficient operation laboratory equipment including HIS/LIS systems; specimen handling: receiving and processing; prep & shipping of lab specimens for at Reference Laboratories; specimen/patient registration; phlebotomy - collection of blood samples by venipuncture or capillary stick; therapeutic blood collection; swab collection of specific Micro samples (per competency); assignment to OP Lab locations; training new staff as assigned. Required Qualifications: - Upon hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification - 6 months of Direct experience as a phlebotomist and/or completion of a Phlebotomy program. Preferred Qualifications: - Coursework/Training and Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy training Program/Course approved by WA State. Why Join Providence? The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
