MANAGER INTERVIEW About Facility: Olympia, WA 107 beds COVID
vaccine required General Information: Beds: 8 rooms, 3 hallways
Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No, 2 years Will
you accept a first-time traveler? No Patient Types: Neonate to
geriatric, from clinic acuity to critical acuity Patient Ratios:
1:4 (days and nights) Required Licensure & Certifications:
Licensure: RN BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, MHS tele exam; CPI or MOAB
(preferred Skills required: General ER skillset: ETOH/drug abuse,
cardiac, ortho, in the process of becoming a stroke center; no
dialysis Support on the Unit: CNA/Techs: 2 techs 7-7, 1 tech @ 11,
1 tech @ 3, 1 overnight (splints, EKGs, lab draws)
Receptionist/HUC: No Charge nurse: Free floating Phlebotomy? IV/VAT
Team? Resource Nurse: 9-9 most days RT: 24-7 Hospitalist: 24-7
Telemetry monitoring: bedside and nurses’ station
Technology/Equipment: EMR: EPIC IV pumps: Alaris Medication
dispensing: Pyxis Monitors: GE Floating: If yes, where? None
Orientation: 4 hours of orientation with the clinical educator (get
badge, login information, unit tour, policies/procedures) 2-3
shifts on the unit Preceptor to then work “in the numbers” to get
feel for flow, resources, where supplies are, etc. for approx. 2-3
weeks before being paired with new grad Traveler Telemetry
Competency Required Required to be completed and passed prior to
start. SimpliFi Compliance is responsible for grading this exam
Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other On call? If so, what is
that schedule? No Holiday Expectations: Varies Approval of RTO:
Shift times: New grads only orient on 7a-7p and 7p-7a Schedule
