outpatient experience preferred, but acute care experience with
strong Urology skills is acceptable Description: This is a Urology
Clinic RN role. An RN in this role will need to possess strong
Urology skills. Prior outpatient experience is highly preferred.
The RN must be comfortable with catheterization. Training will be
provided on Urodynamics studies, bladder instillations, Botox, and
Testosterone injection on an as-needed basis. The RN will be
responsible for performing special procedures, including
Gemcitabine and/or Gemzar, which is a chemotherapy procedure where
a chemo agent is infused into the bladder and then drained. This
procedure is typically done after the removal of tumors to prevent
their return. The RN will also perform Urodynamics studies, PTNS,
catheter changes, CIC teaching, voiding trials, and injections.
Additionally, the RN will triage patient calls, work in the
in-basket, and handle medication refills. Locals and true travelers
are welcome to apply. First-timers are accepted for this role.
There is no weekend or on-call requirement. Travelers will not need
to float between units. Chemo certification is not required. Daily
patient care will involve collaborating with interdisciplinary
support and managing various patient diagnoses and special
