Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/27/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele Float position requiring at least two years of nursing and telemetry experience. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a short-term acute care hospital environment on Med/Surg and Telemetry units - Role involves regular floating between like units according to skill set - Patient ratios are 1:5 on both day and night shifts - Night shift schedule is 3 or 4 twelve-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend - EPIC EMR is used and experience is required - No on-call requirements - Responsibilities include providing nursing care to med/surg and telemetry patients and floating as needed - All travelers are expected to float between facilities within the state if needed - Requested time off should be minimal and submitted up front; more than one week is discouraged - Returning travelers must comply with the facility’s separation and radius rules /n /n Requirements/n - Active WA or compact RN license required - Minimum two years of med/surg and telemetry nursing experience - Current BCLS certification required - ACLS, MAB, and NIHSS certifications preferred - References from at least two supervisors covering one year of comparable experience within the last three years required - Candidates must not have permanent residence within 50 miles of the facility - Former permanent staff must have a minimum 3-month separation before returning as a traveler - Charge Nurse experience preferred - First-time travelers are accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-656915.
