Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 2 years required License: Active compact license or state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS preferred, CNOR preferred Must-Have: Previous staff are not permitted to work as travelers. Candidates must have thoracic and vascular experience to take call independently. Floating to other operating rooms may be required. Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in the Operating Room. The role involves providing care during surgical procedures. The nurse will be required to work day shifts of 10 hours each. Call requirements include three weeknight shifts and three weekend shifts every six weeks. Response time for call is 30 minutes from being contacted. Nurses will receive their schedules in six-week intervals. Occasional schedule adjustments may occur, but changes will be discussed in advance. Candidate must have experience in specific surgical procedures including general, urology, gynecology, bariatrics, and others. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected. The unit adjusts staffing based on patient volumes and prioritizes flexibility among team members. Patient age groups range from neonates to geriatrics. Preferred candidates will have experience with trauma care and various surgical techniques.
