Job Description:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated locum
tenens physician for an exciting opportunity in Oregon. This
position offers the chance to provide inpatient neurohospitalist
care in a busy and dynamic healthcare environment. This role
requires a physician with a background in neurology who is ready to
contribute to a team of professionals in a collaborative setting.

Start Date: May 1, 2025 Duration: Ongoing assignment Coverage
Reason: Medical leave vacancy Schedule: Full-time, with shifts
typically from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM (with some flexibility for
paperwork at the start and end of the day) Patient Load:
Approximately 10-12 patients per shift Required Certification:
Board-certified or board-eligible in Neurology Required Licensure:
Must be licensed in Oregon Call Coverage: Potential for call
coverage required once every 8 weeks (Friday night-Monday morning
for 24 hours) Practice Setting: Inpatient, neurohospitalist
consulting (not a primary admitting service) Credentialing
Timeframe: Estimated at 90-120 days Responsibilities: Provide
inpatient neurohospitalist care, consulting on a variety of
neurological cases Work closely with a neuro critical care team
(critical care is excluded from this role) Supervise and
collaborate with advanced practice providers (2 PA/NPs) Potential
for call coverage one weekend every 8 weeks Perform various
diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including: Radiologic exam
interpretation (unofficial) Diagnostic/therapeutic taps Lumbar
puncture Thrombolytic therapy Biopsy procedures (nerve and muscle)
EEG, EMG, and NCV testing Spinal/paraspinal/epidural blocks
Botulinum toxin administration (Botox) Requirements: Board
certification or eligibility in Neurology Must be licensed to
practice in Oregon BLS certification required (ACLS and other
certifications are not necessary) Prior inpatient neurohospitalist
experience is highly preferred Ability to supervise advanced
practice providers and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Additional Information: Hospital Certification: Hospital is
stroke-certified Trauma Level: Level 2 trauma center Support Staff:
Locum tenens provider will be supported by an RN, MA, and office
