Job Details - Location: Tacoma, WA 98405 (Tacoma nursing jobs, Washington travel nurse) - Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 4, 2026) - Shift: 12-hour nights (1845–0715), block scheduling when possible - Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed - Estimated Weekly Pay: $2130 - $2250 per week - Setting: 20 OR rooms (General, Neuro, Ortho, Peds, ENT, Trauma, Urology, CVOR, Hybrid Endo/Vascular) - Parking: Free parking garage - Scrubs: Provided Job Requirements (Qualifications) - Active Registered Nurse (RN) license. Washington RN license preferred; compact RN license accepted where applicable. - BLS certification required - Minimum 1 year of strong OR experience required (perioperative nurse, scrub nurse, or circulator) - Robotic surgery experience (DaVinci XI) required - Comfortable with blood administration (Belmont/Intraoperative blood salvage), assisting with arterial lines, and wound vacs - Ability to scrub and/or circulate during procedures - Traveler Telemetry Competency (must be completed and passed prior to start) - First-time travel nurses accepted with strong OR experience Responsibilities (Perioperative / Surgical Nurse) - Provide perioperative nursing care across a variety of surgical specialties including General, Neuro, Ortho, Trauma, CVOR, and Robotic cases - Scrub and/or circulate during surgical procedures—serve as scrub nurse or circulating RN as needed - Float to General Surgery when required and support cross-coverage across OR suites - Participate in trauma call team assignments (approximately 3 shifts per 6-week schedule) - Administer blood products and assist with intraoperative procedures and blood salvage systems - Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, and Pyxis medication dispensing systems - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including RT, hospitalist, and intensivist support available 24/7 - Maintain a culture of kindness, collaboration, and ongoing competency; adhere to sterile technique and patient safety best practices This travel operating room RN position is a great match for perioperative nurses, surgical nurses, and OR RNs seeking travel nurse assignments in the Pacific Northwest.
