The Livestock Identification Program within the Animal Services
Division is hiring one (1) non-permanent position that is
anticipated to last up to 12 months
The Animal Services Division is dedicated to the protection,
promotion and enhancement of animal health, wellness and well
being. The Division works to minimize the exposure of the people of
Washington State and their animals to harmful animal diseases on a
state, national, and international level. The Livestock
Identification Program supports the livestock industry by providing
asset protection and theft deterrence.
The Customer Service Specialist 2 (CSS2)provides customer service
to internal and external audiences, assists the Fiscal Specialist
or Brand Recorder, and fills a variety of administrative services
roles for the Livestock Identification Program. This position
reports directly to the Program Manager.

Some of what you do includes:
* Processes and ships all customer and field staff supply request
for documents, office supplies, etc.
* Responds to phone and email inquiries for the Livestock
Identification Program following policies and procedures.
* Keep contact information up to date for field staff.
* Processes special sale permits; mails lifetime horse
identification cards sold by certified veterinarians and livestock
inspection certificates.
* Independently resolves customer complaints, inquiries, and
service problems while applying laws, rules and regulations while
maintaining confidentiality.
* Issues license renewal notices for certified veterinarians and
ships new start up kits.
* Sorts incoming program mail and distribute accordingly.
* Maintains forms inventory and coordinate for print orders.
* Manages hard-copy livestock inspection certificate books using
Book-Tracker Software.
* Assists minute taking at program/division meetings.
* Scans and saves all required program documents for electronic
records management ; follows records retention schedule.
Required:
* An Associate degree ANDtwo (2) years of experience providing
assistance to clients/customers regarding inquiries, complaints or
problems.
OR
* A Bachelor's degree
OR
* Equivalent experience providing assistance to clients/customers
regarding inquiries, complaints or problems.
Preferred/Desired:
* Knowledge of the Livestock Industry.
* One (1) year of experience with personal computers using
Microsoft Office Suite programs.
