more!About This PositionThe Special Events Banquet Captain controls
the flow and the tempo of every function of the Banquet department.
Responsible for the workflow of the Banquet team as a whole, the
Special Events Banquet Captain must understand all positions within
the department and have the ability to coordinate the activities of
those employees to execute successful catered eventsTrain and
supervise banquet staffAct as primary contact with guests and staff
on the floor during banquet functionsExecute events as developed by
the catering departmentMaintain cleanliness and organization of
ballrooms, banquet kitchen, office and storage roomsConsistently
work to improve Banquet DepartmentSupervisory
ResponsibilitiesSupervise the Banquet Team during shifts and
provide performance feedback or disciplinary recommendations to
Banquet ManagerEnsure Banquet operation in accordance with
Alderbrook Resort & Spa standardsParticipate as requested in
training new Banquet staffProvide immediate feedback as necessary
to Banquet team regarding performance issuesCommunicate with the
Assistant Banquet Manager regarding any positive or negative
critical incidents for departmental employeesEnsure all
interactions with and between coworkers are conducted in a highly
professional and efficient mannerEnsure a safe working environment
and attitude on the part of all employees in areas of

Banquet/Events experience, requiredPrevious hospitality experience,
preferred1+ year previous supervisory experience, preferredValid
driver license and satisfactory driving record, requiredValid WA
Food Worker Card - required within 14 days from startValid WA Class
12 Alcohol Server Permit - required within 60 days from
startFriday-Sunday availability required. Weekday flexibility
preferredSuccessful CharacteristicsProfessional: Report to work
when scheduled and with a professional and well-groomed appearance.

problem-solving skills.Planning: Ability to prioritize tasks and
