OverviewPNNLs Human Resources organization is comprised of 90 plus committed professionals working to advance the interests of the lab and support scientific discovery and excellence. HR is engaged in a transformational journey to help PNNL meet its talent acquisition and retention goals through innovative benefits, compensation, learning, and workforce programs.We are on a mission to find a Senior Recruiter to join our Talent Acquisition team!Reporting to the Recruiting Team Leader, the Senior Recruiter partners with senior management and HR Strategic Partners to develop the acquisition elements of a Talent Management Strategy to meet the current and future talent needs of the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. The Senior Recruiter collaborates with the Recruiting team and hiring managers to identify and match candidates to specific needs; perform all aspects of recruiting activities for both internal and external positions (sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, negotiation and closing); utilizes a variety of effective sourcing techniques; works with compensation analyst to make salary recommendations; work to achieve metrics and goals including quality of applicant pools, diversity, number of hires, and time-to-fill; represents the Laboratory at recruiting and diversity events; ensures compliance with all applicable employment laws and policies; develops and manages effective working relationships with Managers, HR staff, and staff throughout the Laboratory; provides direction/guidance to an Recruiting Assistant in the course of performing various recruiting services, and travels as required. The Senior Recruiter plays a key role by attracting top talent to the Laboratory.ResponsibilitiesKey Responsibilities:

  • Must be a hunter, with the ability to identify and engage candidates with a specialized and often rare skill set.
  • Innovative and collaborative use of technology and recruitment resources to attract top talent to PNNL
  • Able to handle confidential information and sensitive situations with full integrity
  • Approach challenges with courage and team effectively in order to deliver highest-value impact to the customer
  • Skilled negotiator and closer with attention to detail
  • Ability to match pace with fluctuating hiring needs without sacrificing quality
  • Understands strategic use of social media and recruitment tools to represent opportunities
  • Skilled at identifying new sources of talent that enhance the diversity of the applicant poolQualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience.
    • Advanced degree and 6+ years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications:
      • Professional license and/or certification may be preferred.
      • Proven strategic leadership experience while developing creative, innovative solutions in a complex, multidisciplinary team environment and having significant programmatic responsibilities.
      • Proactive sales and/or agency recruiting experience and full cycle recruitment.
      • Client Management experience
      • The ability to effectively deal with conflicting priorities, change gears on short notice and adapt to fast, evolving environments.
      • Experience attracting and hiring top technical talent from private industry, government entities, and/or colleges and universities.
      • Experience with various sourcing techniques
      • Skilled in the use of ATS or recruiting databases and proficient in standard Microsoft Office tools.
