Job Title: Microsoft Strategic Initiatives / Business Portfolio LeadJob Type: Full-Time/PermLocation: Redmond, WA preferred (open to other locations / some travel)Salary: $200,000-275,000This is a VERY high level position. Candidates are expected to have 15+ years' experience to qualify for consideration. The role will report directly to the Global MS Alliance Manager and lead the strategy planning for the organizations Microsoft Business Unit and Go To Market strategic initiatives with Microsoft.Candidates must have exceptional tenure creating business plans, Go To Market strategies, and COMPLETE understanding of the entire Microsoft portfolio. This is NOT a Business Development Role.Must come with a strong track record and references*Summary: Reporting directly to the Global Microsoft Alliance Manager, the Director of Microsoft Business Unit & Portfolio Lead will be responsible for leading the strategy planning for the Microsoft Business Unit and own the end-to end lifecycle and GTM portfolio of identified horizontal and verticalized plays / identified initiatives with Microsoft. The Director of Microsoft Business Unit / Portfolio Lead is responsible for creating, managing, and delivering upon an extremely ambitious hyper growth plans and champion the organizations services related to technology platforms and Microsoft offerings.Responsibilities: Elevate the organizations positioning within the Microsoft partner ecosystem.Build & own the strategy for strategic initiatives and portfolio plays for the Microsoft Business UnitOwn and manage the complete play lifecycle for the Business UnitWork with Busines Unit market development leads, tech partner lead and practices to identify & prioritize plays Orchestrate and program manage the creation of business & technology value propositions along with practice leadersBuild the comprehensive GTM campaign strategy for each of the plays across Strategic Market UnitsExecute the GTM plan along with the BU market development leads & marketing teamsConceptualize, plan, execute and own the complete lifecycle of chosen strategic business initiatives Identify resources and work with relevant Strategic Market Units, GBLs, etc.Define & sign off success metrics internally and with partnersAchieve strategic investment outcomes in alignment with the business plan, with regards to growth ambition, developing differentiated offerings, capabilities and identifying industries / geos / customer segments for joint investments and joint GTMRequired Knowledge/Experience:Have intimate knowledge of the Microsoft's offerings and their roadmaps, competitive strategies, organization structure and workings, and pre-existing relationships with the leadership of the technology firm. 15+ years of Senior Leadership experience within a professional services or advisory services organisation with a demonstrable track record of delivering results.Driving the business strategy; building the ecosystem for revenue generation; and a strong track record of growth will be critical pre-requisites for the role.A deep customer-centric and business-outcomes approach is a critical must-have, and the lead will have a proven track record of developing solution plays leveraging a wide portfolio of cloud services.Ability to work in a matrixed and leveraged organization construct as a part of the Chief Growth Officer's portfolio - with go to market customer facing units of company SMU's and practicesSelf-driven, independent, with balanced knowledge between relationships, business, and technology skills.Expectations:Understanding the Business - Knows the business and the mission-critical technical and functional skills needed to do the job; understands various types of business propositions and understands how businesses operate in general; learns new methods and technologies easily.Making Complex Decisions - Can solve even the toughest and most complex of problems; great at gleaning meaning from whatever data is available; is a quick study of the new and different; adds personal wisdom and experience to come to the best conclusion and solution, given the situation; uses multiple problem-solving tools and techniques.Benefits:Excellent bonus/comp packagesGrowth/Leadership opportunity - this role will make an impact!Medical/Dental/Vision401KPTO*Please email a copy of your resume to c.walsh@ for consideration!
