This program offers you a chance to revamp your skills, update your resume with new experiences, and make connections with others transitioning back into the workforce.POSITION: Software Engineer - TTD Automation and Module EngineerThis position is virtual position during the 16-week Returnship program. The goal of this program is to hire individuals who were successful throughout the program duration. A full-time offer will be either virtual or hybrid on-site.Join Intel's Tapeout team and be a part of the Silicon Manufacturing chain at Intel. Tapeout is the first step in Silicon Manufacturing of all chips and technologies at Intel, which transforms computations that are used to optimize chip fabrication and intersects Silicon Photolithograpy, Photomask Technology, Chip Design, and High-Performance Computing.This role is a software engineering position with primary responsibilities to develop and test applications that enable new technology manufacturing, generate data on a large scale, automate compute processes, or improve cost/stability of compute processes.Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:- Linux, Windows, and Web based software application development or enhancement across a wide range of use cases.- Application qualification through test plan development, implementation of quality control procedures, data analysis, and application deployment.- Integrating with adjacent engineering teams by absorbing project requirements, defining project plans, communicating project status, analyzing large data sets, and constructing retrospectives for continuous improvement.- Software application requirements discovery, functional specification, and project planning using Agile and Waterfall methods.- Configuring applications or databases and analyzing generated data to enable product fabrication.**Qualifications**You must possess the minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.**Minimum Qualifications** :- Candidates must have been out of the paid workforce for at least one year- Possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a software engineering related discipline (Software, Computer, Computer Science, Data Science, Information Science, ML/AI).- OR a Bachelor's or Master's degree in other engineering disciplines with an emphasis on Computer Science.- Have at least one of the following qualifications (having more than one will be preferred):o Proficiency in software development and at least 1 programming language (example: Ruby, Python, C/C++, Java, Javascript)o Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate (both verbally and in writing) with a variety of engineers working on multiple projectso Ability to utilize technical knowledge to independently identify, analyze and solve technical problems**Preferred Qualifications:**At least 1 year of minimum experience in the following:- Practical expertise in one of the following languages/architectures: C++, Python, Qt, Django, Ruby, Rails, VueJS- Database architecture and languages such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB- Linux operating system and system functions- Developing system documentation a- Background developing large scale applications- Distribution computing and datacenter system architectures- Semiconductor processing**Inside this Business Group**As the world's largest chip manufacturer, Intel strives to make every facet of semiconductor manufacturing state-of-the-art -- from semiconductor process development and manufacturing, through yield improvement to packaging, final test and optimization, and world class Supply Chain and facilities support.
