Global Technology is seeking for a passionate engineering leader to
lead the delivery of our legacy Property Management System
engineering teams. The candidate should be a technology expert and
intensely passionate about solving complex problems. The candidate
should be able to collaborate extensively with Enterprise
Architecture, Infrastructure, and other engineering teams to ensure
the development of the right components. Work across multiple
product & engineering teams to deliver incremental value for the
roadmap items lined to support the property management systems.
Perform research, analysis, design, creation, and implementation of
solutions that meet current and future product requirements.
Candidate is responsible for the end to end delivery of multiple
concurrent data initiatives, from initial inception through final
delivery. Builds and manages teams consisting of Marriott
Associates and Service Provider Partners to execute initiative
delivery.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Required:
Undergraduate/graduate degree or equivalent education +
experience.
10+ years of experience with application development tools.
4+ years of experience in managing cross-functional, sourced, or
matrixed teams.
Self-driven, curious, and a fast learner, and able to work in a
fast-paced environment launching new consumer products to
market.
Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the
ability to coordinate between technical and business teams.
Experience managing, supporting HPE servers and managing teams that
support security compliance including remediation of
vulnerabilities.
Experience with Automation, CI/CD, Release Management processes,
and Application Deployments.
Strong understanding of API platforms, security, back-end services,
database, and networking components of full-stack
infrastructure.
Working in a Product-based model and building strong partnerships
with Product owners by providing innovative technology solutions to
complex business problems.
Ability to communicate complex technology solutions to both Product
owners in a business-friendly manner and to Enterprise Architects
in the most technical detail.
Strong knowledge of server, network, including Windows Server,
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and VPNs
Proven management experience in application development across
waterfall and agile environments with ability to effectively
prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Preferred:
5+ years of experience in architecture solution development for
complex/enterprise-level systems.
Direct management of cross functional, sourced, or matrixed
teams
Working experience with VMWare virtualization technologies
Experience with and knowledge of IT outsourcing activities in a
managed services environment
Experience with public cloud platforms like AWS
Good process management, negotiating, influencing and problem
resolution skills
Experience in business systems and process planning
Knowledge of business environment, service requirements and
hospitality culture
Demonstrated ability to assess customer/client needs, creatively
approach solutions, decide and influence appropriate courses of
action
Ability to understand and communicate the lifecycle of technologies
and applications and to translate into business strategies for the
client organizations.
Experience in travel or lodging applications, services, or
operations
Technology certifications in Cloud solutions (AWS/Azure)
Enterprise or solution architecture experience

Provides deep expertise in defining technical software solutions to
deliver critical capabilities for the property management
systems.

California Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is
$107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually.
Colorado Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is
$107,850.00 to $217,498.00 annually.
New York City & Westchester County, NY Applicants Only: The salary
range for this position is $130,500.00 to $239,250.00 annually.
Washington Applicants Only: The salary range for this position is
$107,850.00 to $239,250.00 annually. In addition to the annual
salary, the position will be eligible to receive an annual bonus
and restricted stock units/stock grants. Employees will accrue
0.04616 PTO balance for every hour worked and eligible to receive
minimum of 7 holidays annually.
