Job Description:

Remitly, Inc. seeks a Software Development Engineer to serve as a core member of an engineering team to design the vision and roadmap of the software platform services central to the company's core products and growth. Lead software development teams to ensure the delivery of payment solutions. Plan process and technology improvement projects and collaborate on execution. Develop easy-to-use software platform, leveraging expertise with software languages, deployment systems, and cloud infrastructure. Assess and validate software systems to ensure they adhere to the highest standard for security and compliance, collaborating with internal Infrastructure and Security teams, as needed. Implement, accelerate, and reengineer the delivery of world-class developer tools and practices in collaboration with Product Engineering, Product Management, and other internal teams. Mentor engineer team members to implement software systems that promote efficient practices and enable standardization across platform services.

Position requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, and 2 years of experience with software development, system design, software design patterns and algorithms, and driving technical designs to achieve quantifiable goals. Experience must include 1 year of experience with each of the following: product feature design and development; developing backend systems, including testing and debugging; building, delivering, and maintaining reliable and scalable backend services on a public cloud platform; providing technical leadership for all aspects of the software development lifecycle; software design, development, implementation, and testing; writing secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code; and C#, Data structures and algorithms, Java, Javascript, HTML/CSS, Lambda, Maven, MySQL, Object-oriented design, Object-oriented programming, Python, ReactJS, Rest, Service-oriented architecture, Spring, SNS, SQS, and Typescript. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.



Job Location: Seattle, WA



Rate of Pay: $137,259.00 - $170,000.00 per year
