Our Opportunity Adjunct faculty salary for the 2020-2021 fiscal year is $885.00 per credit hour.South Puget Sound Community College seeks an engaging and dedicated Paralegal instructor in our Social Sciences & Business division with the ability to teach substantive law courses as well as skills-based courses.South Puget Sound Community College is committed to increasing its cultural diversity with an emphasis on equity and inclusion among its professional staff. The applicant pool is created for future, part-time professor appointments for the individual program or course indicated. This announcement will serve as an open and continuous applicant pool. Appointment availability varies from quarter to quarter.Candidates selected from the pool will be contacted by the division should a vacancy arise. What You'll DoDevelop and deliver organized lesson plansUse concept - demonstrate approach including high student engagement activitiesAssess skill acquisition Provide consistent and timely feedbackProvide support to struggling studentsAble to teach one or more of the following or similar courses: Law Office Procedures, Technology in the Law Office, Electronic Discovery, Real Estate, Property Law & Estate Planning, Domestic Relations, and Legal Research & Writing.Course TitlesLaw Office ProceduresLegal Terms and WritingTechnology in the Law Office Fundamentals of Legal Writing and Case Analysis Legal ResearchAdvanced Legal Writing and Case AnalysisReal Estate, Property Law, and Estate PlanningDomestic RelationsElectronic DiscoveryAble to teach a range of evening and online sections. There may be a possibility for some daytime sections. Qualifications You PossessMinimum QualificationsAn AAS in Paralegal Studies or a B.A., and at least five years of work experience as a ParalegalORA Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.Preferred QualificationsCollege-level teaching experience is preferred.Legal practice experience is preferred. Experience with online teaching is preferred.
