Job Description:
CalPortland, a leading player in the construction material
sector since 1891, seeks a Ready Mix Plant Superintendent to
oversee operations at one of our ready mix concrete plants. This
role is critical in ensuring the efficient and effective management
of the plant's daily operations, with a strong focus on safety,
environmental compliance, and cost management. The superintendent
will ensure all products meet the company's rigorous standards for
quality and be responsible for the overall production and
operational strategies of the plant. Oversee daily operations of
the ready mix concrete plant, ensuring compliance with company
policies and regulatory requirements. Manage and develop plant
staff, fostering a culture of safety and environmental
responsibility. Coordinate maintenance and operational activities
to maximize plant efficiency and productivity. Ensure the quality
control of all materials and end products. Prepare and oversee the
plant budget, including projections and financial planning. Liaise
with sales, distribution, and other departments to optimize plant
output and delivery. Implement operational strategies and
innovations for continual improvement. Strong leadership and
managerial skills In-depth knowledge of ready mix concrete
production and its equipment Excellent problem-solving and
analytical skills Proficient in standard industry software Ability
to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks Medical Insurance
