We are recruiting for the following position:

Licensed Family Therapist - Posting #20800

Position Summary:

Would you like to have July and August off? Sea Mar Behavioral Health is seeking a Licensed Child and Family Therapist for its diverse and quickly growing Child & Family Program. This position is a primarily school based, 10 month position that serves schools in the Tumwater area. The Child and Family Therapist provides individual and family therapy, case management, crisis stabilization, treatment planning, and may leads groups. In addition, they will provide referrals and coordination with medication providers, primary physicians and other community partners. Must have the ability to accurately diagnose mental health issues and develop treatment plans based upon diagnoses. Must be willing to work later hours (after 5pm) on some days, and will require work within schools or other non-traditional settings.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, counseling, or social work, which includes course-work in psychological diagnostics.
  • License in marriage and family therapy (LMFT), mental health counseling (LMHC) or social work (LICSW or LASW) required.
  • Must meet Washington State requirements as a Child Mental Health Specialist or be working towards credential.
  • Experience working with children and/or families is required.
  • Experience in evidence based practices preferred.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR within 90 days of hire date and is required to maintain current BLS CPR throughout employment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
Salary: $29.23 per hour. Position is for 10 months, but is eligible for benefits for 12 months.
