Are you an IT professional who enjoys problem-solving in a

Development team! This group designs, develops, configures,
maintains, and optimizes a broad range of robust, scalable
applications, systems, software, interfaces, and tools in support
of the agency's mission and business objectives. This .NET
developer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the Social
Service Payment System, a highly complex collection of financial,
tax, and payment systems centered around the core application known
as SSPS. These systems collectively provide accurate and timely
payment of almost a billion dollars annually to over 22,000
providers who care for the most vulnerable children. In
business-specific terms, this position helps ensure authorized
recipients of Social Service payments receive their payments in
accordance with all timelines, rules, and regulations.

Creating, upgrading, maintaining, enhancing, testing, and
replacing existing applications using one or more of the following:
MVC, Entity Framework, Reporting Services, MS SQL Server, Microsoft
>NET C#, Transact Structured Query Language (TSQL), HyperText
Markup Language (HTML). (Applications supported include state-wide,
24/7 operations, mission-critical internal and external facing
applications.) Participate in iterative process improvements
regarding the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Design and develop interfaces with business partners (state
agencies as well as third party).
Use software development methods and tools to integrate and support
custom-off-the-shelf (COTS) software and services. Coordinates with
vendor technical staff to implement system upgrades and
Evaluates COTS software and Software as a Subscription (Saas)
solutions to make "build or buy" decisions to integrate, and/or
accelerate development of new and existing systems.
Recommend, design, and develop technical solutions.
Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure regular, controlled
deployment of updates to existing database-driven applications.
Decompress high-level business and user requirements into
functional requirements, specified in an appropriate level of
detail for both product owners and technical staff.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex application, interface, and

Five or more years of information technology experience such as
developing, consulting, analyzing, designing, and/or maintaining
computer software applications, directing projects, providing
customer or technical support in information technology; OR a
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or closely allied
Four or more years of progressively more complex problem solving
experience as a developer designing, developing, or maintaining
large-scale applications with mission-critical business functions
using .NET C#; SQL Server, SQL Reporting Services, Transact SQL,
Web-based programming, and supporting tools.
Expert knowledge of application development principles, concepts,
technologies, current industry standards, and the Microsoft
technology stack including Windows, Visual Studio, IIS, .NET C#,
SQL, TFS, SharePoint, etc.
Working knowledge of Agile values and principles as they apply to
Working knowledge of Scrum development methodologies, artifacts,

Experience maintaining and supporting IT applications in a 7 day
