As our Enterprise System Administrator, you will be a member of the Application Development - System Operations unit which is an integral part of the successful administration of claimant and employer services within ESD. You will be responsible for administering, operating, and maintaining enterprise-wide, mission-critical software applications and systems. Your expertise will directly contribute to our mission by providing expert technical consultation, problem analysis and resolution, and application of technical proficiencies for products and services used by agency staff, partners, employers, and job seekers.

As an Enterprise Systems Administrator, your ability to analyze trends, and identify, diagnose, and resolve system issues to ensure continued service and availability of critical applications to internal and external customers. You will support application/systems and enhancements based on requests for IT services and collaborate with customers to make sure technical requirements align with business requirements. This includes the management, modification, development and repair of applications and components, the ability to write, review and fix code, plan and perform data migrations, develop database designs and batch processes, design and/or write reports, ad hoc queries or data updates. As you resolve application issues, preserve production system data integrity and timeliness, and inform users of production operation issues that could impede users' ability to do their work, you will maximize productive use of these critical application systems.

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or closely related field.


Seven (7) years of IT experience with the following:

  • Experience with production systems administration, implementation and support.
  • Demonstrated software administration experience with BMC Remedy, Windows, IIS, JavaServlet, Web application design, development and application servers or other commercially available service/support desk problem and incident management ticketing system.
  • Demonstrated configuration experience with BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) modules and Windows/Web application design and development.
  • Demonstrated systems administration experience with Electronic Security Process application (ESP) providing Tier 2/3 support.
  • Demonstrated configuration and administration experience with Archibus Facility Management software.

OR A combination of education and experience.


Education to Experience Equivalences:

Associate Degree = 2 years | Bachelor's Degree = 4 years | Master's or Higher = 5 years

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated software administration skills in ILINX Imaging Application - Content Store and Capture.

Additional Requirements:

  • Final external candidates must be able to pass the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Fraud Check. 
  • Once it is safe according to state and local ordinances, this position may involve frequent and/or occasional travel to field offices within the state, and/or occasional travel for meetings and/or training. Must meet requirements to operate state vehicles.
