DSHS ESA Entry Level IT System Administration

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator in our Olympia office to join our team! Are you a team player? Do you like working in a fast pace environment? Then we have the perfect career opportunity for you.

As a System Administrator with the Division of Disability Determination Services (DDDS), your time will be spent planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware, software systems, and systems environment. The work that you do directly impacts network connectivity, data protection, and ensures timely and accurate adjudication of Social Security disability benefits and Non-Grant Medical Assistance benefits for citizens in Washington State. This role is deemed essential and will be required to be in the office.

Some of what you'll do:

* Maintain inter-connectivity of DDDS/SSA systems, system accounts, and system access * Be part of the team for all office equipment replacements or software upgrades. * Independently resolve difficult computer problems, provide technical support, consultation, and training. * Document and maintain critical components of the region's local area and wide area network infrastructure. * Run system compliance reports and verify for accuracy. Make corrections as appropriate. * Install and maintain network hardware and software infrastructure; troubleshootanynetwork problems. * Identify, create or locate new hardware technologies or software to enhance current DDDS systems. * Create and maintain user accounts

What we are looking for:

* Four years of IT work experience including a wide range of duties, such as consulting, analyzing, designing, programming, installing, and maintaining computer software applications, hardware, telecommunications, or network infrastructure equipment. * Four years experience in an enterprise network using an MS Operating System. * Currently working in the Information Technology field. * An associate's degree or more in computer science is desired. * Experienced in Exchange/Outlook. * Experienced with Microsoft Office 365. * Experience working on the Social Security Administration's (SSA) wide-area network infrastructure. * Able to work independently. * Experience in imaging devices. * Strong troubleshooting skills. * Excellent customer service skills
