Job Description:
Description As part of the Cybersecurity Policy and Regulation
team and the larger Corporate Security & Resilience (CS) function,
the Information Security Specialist will assist in performing
governance activities over the Cybersecurity (CS) Policy and
Program. This individual will also provide advisory services to the
Business Lines in order to improve the IS control environment and
minimize the risk and impact of security threats and
vulnerabilities. Key Role Responsibilities & Deliverables: +
Assisting with management of the CS Policy and Program including
ongoing updates and oversight and governance activities. +
Partnering with other groups within Cyber Security to document
processes, identify controls, determine control adequacy and
identify control monitoring opportunities and areas for
improvement/enhancement. + Building and maintaining strong
relationships with business lines in order to identify CS issues
and drive policy compliance. + Working with Business Line Risk
Managers to proactively document and mitigate IS related risks. +
Reviewing and providing ongoing monitoring of CS Policy related GRC
issues and Accepted Risks. + Collaborating with other teams within
Cyber Security and CS to advise business lines in applying policy
requirements to BAU activities. + Acting as an adviser for business
lines as they work to apply the CS policy in their everyday
business activities. + Reviewing and ensuring periodic and annual
updates of CS procedures to ensure they remain current and relevant
to the existing Cyber Security posture. The preferred location for
this position is Johnston, RI although other locations will be
considered based on candidate experience and capabilities. #LI-KK1
Qualifications Experience and Skills: + Minimum one years practical
experience and/or coursework utilizing concepts of Cybersecurity,
Compliance, IT Audit, Risk Management, or related topics. +
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in an
autonomous environment; ability to generate and pursue ideas. +
General understanding of NIST 800-53 and cyber security banking
guidance and regulations (Ex. Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, NY DFS
23-CRR-500, FFIEC IT Handbooks) + Strong organizational,
communication (written and verbal) and planning skills. + Basic
knowledge of Banking Regulations. + Proven ability to analyze data
against established criteria and organize output in a cohesive
manner. + Demonstrated ability to meet established deadlines. +
Ability to identify, assess and mitigate risks. + Strong
interpersonal skills to interact with business lines to provide CS
Policy and Program advice and guidance. + Proficiency with MS
Office skills including Word, PowerPoint, Excel. + Familiarity with
GRC, MS Visio. + Ability to work under pressure with efficiency and
accuracy. + Ability to plan and prioritize workload. Education and
Certifications: + BA/BS in Information Systems, Computer Science or
related field or relevant Information Security or technical
qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.). Hours & Work
Schedule Hours per Week: 40 Work Schedule: Monday through Friday
