DescriptionDSHS IT Application Developer - Senior SpecialistThe
Technology Innovation Administration (TIA) is seeking two subject
matter experts to join the team designing complex and highly
visible systems for the Division of Child Support (DCS) that
provide business-critical functions, integrating business and
technology at the application layer, ensuring applications are
built to deliver business outcomes and are adaptable to changing
business needs. In this role, you will maintain, re-design, and
develop solutions for legacy systems and applications using current
technologies that provide information technology security and
stability. This is an opportunity to progress in your IT career. As

with documented processes and procedures, security, and other IT
policy and standards throughout the application life cycle,
ensuring quality standards within the .NET frameworkIncrease
knowledge of current technology and software development practices
so that systems for the Division of Child Support are designed,
developed, and implemented using best practices in the IT
industryMaintain secure and accountable coding practices, including
the use of version control systems (SVN, GitHub, etc) and
performing code reviews for standards and security complianceWhat
we're looking for:Professionals with a bachelor's degree including
9 semesters or 15 quarter hours of computer science courses AND
seven years of development work experience with hands-on .NET
frameworks, primarily in C#; maintaining applications within large
multi-user environments; and also, designing and developing
relational data stores in MS SQL.Work experience should include 4
years of experience transforming business requirements into
technical solutions.Creating and maintaining secure
applications.Child Support rules and regulations knowledge
preferred.Mentoring and training technical staff experience
preferred.Additional IT work experience or education may
substitute, year for year, for the bachelor's degree.Our Department

paid holiday.As provided in WAC 357-58-175, an employer may
authorize a lump-sum accrual of vacation leave or accelerate the
vacation leave accrual rate to support the recruitment and/or
retention of a candidate or employee for a Washington Management
Service position. Vacation leave accrual rates may only be
accelerated using the rates established WAC 357-31-165. Note: Most
agencies follow the civil service rules covering leave and holidays
for exempt employees even though there is no requirement for them
to do so. However, agencies are required to adhere to the
applicable RCWs pertaining holidays and leave.Military
LeaveWashington State supports members of the armed forces with 21
days paid military leave per year.Bereavement Leave Most employees
whose family member or household member dies, are entitled to three
(3) days of paid bereavement leave. In addition, the employer may
approve other available leave types for the purpose of bereavement
