DEVELOPER As a Barclays Developer, you will work with the development manager and project manager to agreed release schedules and development and coding of the MOTIF in-flight projects. You will be responsible for technical analysis, development, and testing, primarily in Java and Linux, but with opportunities to work in other technologies. You will play a leading role in a strategic project to deliver a market leading initiative. You will also be expected to contribute towards ongoing support of the production environment. WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

• Maintaining high quality of deliverables
• Following the adoption of Agile techniques
• Working closely with the technical team lead to provide feedbacks on the technical design and understand the implementation of it
• Designing & developing of JAVA/ORACLE environment
• Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
• Performing basic tuning to ensure acceptable application performance
• Preparing of detailed unit test cases. -
• Working closely unit testing would be advantageous WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
  • Bachelor /Master's Degree in Technology or Equivalent
  • Experience of working with Java micro-services -
  • Experience of working in Unix/Linux platform
  • Experience of working with Oracle database SKILLS THAT WILL HELP YOU IN THE ROLE:
    • Experience in working on a major IT project with SOA integration with various back-end technologies (JAVA) and using the following technologies: JAVA, XML, JUnit, JDBC, ect---
    • Experience of working with agile software development -
    • Experience of working on a sub-ledger application
