Employer: Washington State Department of Enterprise Services Location: 1500 Jefferson Street SE Olympia, WA 98501 Title: IT Application Development Senior Specialist Duties: Oversee all application development efforts and provide technical consultation, design development and deployment of large applications to meet the critical business needs, as well as supporting ongoing maintenance activity for administrator's applications. Evaluate new development tools, products and technology and provide expert recommendations on design/programming systems solutions to management and internal teams. Develop applications using current agency supported technologies, development languages and standards for programming, security and accessibility, incorporating technologies including but not limited to Visual Studio, C#, JavaScript, ASP.NET, MVC, or similar high level languages, :frameworks and tools. Create next generation products and services, have great development skills, a passion for quality and is excited to help build incredible, engineering solutions with stellar customer experiences. Develop and update agency's current online web applications, as well as develop and implement a usability testing process to ensure new website applications meet agency stakeholder requirements. Position may include additional duties that utilize the required skills. Position Requirements: Requires a Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Computer Science or a closely related field. Must have two years of experience in software development as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or related position. Experience must include: --- Creating Design flow diagram, flow chart, system architecture diagram using Visio, write use cases for the requirement, and develop the code (modules, classes, business logics); --- Performing test driven development, unit test, and documenting; --- Configuration of build and release pipeline using TFS and in Azure DevOps; --- Setting up the environments and configuring it, analyzing performance of the applications; and --- Controlling and monitoring release management, and creating reusable components for application layer, business layer and database layer.
