ABOUT THE POSITION: Reporting directly to the Accounts Payable
Supervisor the Fiscal Analyst 1 will contribute to the WSDA Mission
Statement by supplying timely & accurate information to both our
internal and external customers. This position acts as a subject
matter expert in researching, implementing and maintaining contract
payments, yearly fair allocations, organic cost share payments,
invoice payments and acts as a back up maintaining various payment
types.This is a non-permanent position expected to expire on or

doing: Receives, reviews, analyzes, interprets, processes, and
reconciles payments. Verifies invoice quantity and amount. Analyzes
and interprets payment documents for accuracy and completeness.
Creates and processes payment batches using Financial Toolbox and
AFRS. Audits the vendor information in batches before release.
Codes each document to ensure payments are charged to the
appropriate divisions. Tracks payments by date paid in Enterprise
Contracts Management System (ECMS). Responds to inquiries from
agency personnel or vendors concerning payment status for
referenced accounts. Researches general questions from vendors or
employees. Assists with analysis of financial reports and
development of fiscal procedures. Analyzes and corrects
discrepancies. Accesses the agency financial reporting system
(AFRS) to prepare and review fiscal documents. Assists in a fiscal
year closing of financial records. Assists statewide vendor
records. Works with vendors to obtain required paperwork ie: W9,
direct deposit or change form. Creates and processes payment
batches using AFRS and Financial Toolbox. Provides mailroom
coverage.Required: High School diploma or GED. Two years of
experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, auditing or other
professionally based fiscal fields. Higher education which includes
18 quarter or 12 semester hours of accounting, auditing or
budgeting may substitute year for year for experience.Desired:
Bachelor's Degree, which includes at least 18 quarter or 12
semester hours of accounting, auditing or budgeting.Knowledge,
Skills, Abilities, and Behaviors Knowledge of invoice and contract
payments in AFRS, Enterprise Reporting System. Judgement - Display

information in writing using language that is appropriate to both

appropriate meaning and form conclusions necessary to resolving the

effective collaboration to help clients identify, evaluate and
