Director of HR / HR Manager - Part Time Non-Profit! Our client
is a mission-driven nonprofit organization in Vancouver who is
dedicated to serving vulnerable communities, is seeking a
compassionate and experienced Director of HR / HR Manager to lead
their human resources function. This is a highly impactful role for
a strategic and hands-on HR leader who thrives in a collaborative,
service-oriented environment. The Director of HR / HR Manager will
play a key role in supporting both the administrative office and
shelter site, guiding employee relations, policy development, and
HR compliance initiatives. If you are someone who is patient,

Responsibilities: Director of HR Lead employee relations efforts,
including performance management, progressive discipline, and
terminations, with a thoughtful and compliant approach. Partner
with leadership at the shelter to address staff challenges,
implement Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs), and promote a
positive work environment. Review, revise, and implement HR
policies and procedures in collaboration with legal counsel to
ensure legal compliance and alignment with organizational values.
Oversee and streamline onboarding processes for new employees,
fostering an inclusive and supportive experience. Utilize Paylocity
to generate HRIS reports, support HR operations, and collaborate
with the HR Generalist on system maintenance. Conduct weekly visits
to the off-site shelter to provide direct HR support and coaching
to supervisors and frontline staff. Serve as a trusted advisor to
management, offering guidance on HR best practices and compliance
matters. Preferred Requirements: Director of HR Strong
understanding of employment law, HR compliance, and best practices
in employee relations. Experience working with vulnerable
populations or in nonprofit/social services environments strongly
preferred. Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve employee
relations issues with empathy and professionalism. Exceptional
communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and
patient approach to supporting staff. This Director of HR / HR
